Sugarbear Playhouse strives to create a fantastic experience for your family. On staff, there is an Infant-Child Development Specialist and two Recreational Therapists nationally certified and licensed by the Oklahoma Medical Board. In addition to unstructured play, groups are conducted by experienced recreational therapists who strive to provide a twist on interactive play.

Katelyn is a Proud Texan who moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, after meeting her husband, Tyler, in college. She has a Bachelor of Science in Leisure Studies degree with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation from Oklahoma State University. She also has her Master's degree in Infant Child Studies and Child Development from the University of Central Oklahoma, specializing in child development. Katelyn and Tyler have two beautiful children. Katelyn loves being in the pool or ocean, enjoys the outdoors, watching crime shows, Disney, and FRIENDS. She also enjoys listening to music, doing crafts, going on long walks with her kids in the stroller, and riding her bike. Katelyn has a dream to make Sugarbear Playhouse a place for caregivers in Washington County and surrounding areas to create a space for children to play in a safe and contained environment. |
Playtime Captain
Jessica, CTRS/ L
Jessica is a transplant Oklahoman, married to a local, Glen, upon moving to Oklahoma to work at the local hospital. She has a Bachelor of Science in Leisure Studies with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation from Oklahoma State University. In addition, she has two years of Child Development from Pioneer Technology Vocational School and has worked with children for over 7 years in various occupations.
Jessica and Glen bonded over exercise, movie/show quotes, and love of family. Jessica loves doing craft projects, organizing, playing volleyball in her backyard with family, and playing games with her kids. She also loves an eclectic mix of music and quoting one-liners from Disney and FRIENDS. Jessica has always had a love for children and their wonderful imagination. Jessica started to work with Katelyn in 2017, and upon their wonderful friendship has been eager to help Katelyn develop this place of imagination and learning for kids. |
Social Media Sorcerer
KelsieKelsie is originally from the state's northeast corner and is an Oklahomie at heart. She has been a registered nurse since 2021 and is working towards her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is a stay-at-home mom to her and her boyfriend Jon's little boy. She enjoys going out for Mexican food, watching anything Disney, and loves Harry Potter! She also enjoys walking, taking her son on adventures, and spending time with her family.

Joy Ambassador
SheldonSheldon was born and raised in Oklahoma. She is working on her psychology associate degree and has worked with children for over ten years. She has always loved working with children and watching their imaginations soar. Sheldon enjoys going outdoors and exploring with her husband and daughter. You can catch them geocaching and rock hunting in their spare time.

AngelAngel is a proud resident of Bartlesville where she lives with her husband, daughter, two kitties (Leo & Luna), and her mini Australian Shepard, Beau. Outside of the playhouse she is a registered nurse at Jane Phillips on the cardiovascular floor and in her free time she likes to spend time with her family and read! "I look forward to seeing you all at the Playhouse to join us in having lots of fun!"
